Arson is suspected following a fire in Ponsanooth last night.
Arson is suspected following a fire in Ponsanooth last night.

A fire to a derelict building in Ponsanooth is believed to be arson.

Fire crews from Falmouth and Truro were tasked on Saturday evening (30th) just after 7pm to an incident in the village.

A fire service spokesperson said:

"On arrival, a fire involving a derelict building was discovered. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."

"Arson is suspected and the police have been informed," they added.

Devon and Cornwall police have been approached for further information.
