Multiple windows were smashed in the Falmouth area last night.

A property on Hitchens Lane had its window completely destroyed by a thrown stone at around 7.30pm.

A police spokesperson told Nub News:

"Police are investigating reports of criminal damage to a property in Hichens Lane, Falmouth at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday 21 January.

"It was reported that a stone had been through at the window of a property causing it to smash.

"The council attended to fix the window.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/006002/20."

There are reports of further damage to property in the area, with two more cars reportedly being targeted for vandalism, resulting in more smashed windows.

On Old Hill Crescent, Zoe Finn also had her car window smashed.

She told Falmouth Nub News that this is the second time it has been vandalised - having her wing mirror broken in the first instance.

A commenter on Facebook said:

"How scary for this to happen."

Another commenter wrote:

"Really wish the resource centre was still in operation as since its closed the estate has gone downhill fast. But nobody should have to put up with mindless vandalism."
