Just after 7.45pm on Tuesday evening, Falmouth's inshore lifeboat was tasked to launch to reports of a tender adrift near Port Pendennis.

Falmouth Lifeboat (ILB and later Boarding Boat and ALB) Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 924, Devon & Cornwall Police and Duty Senior Coastal Operations Officer S11C were all tasked.

On scene, it was discovered that another vessel had picked up the boat in question just off the breakwater at Port Pendennis. The outboard was down and warm, with two oars also in the water, leading to suspicion that that may have been a person in the water.

Search teams made investigations locally and saturated the search areas. With nothing found, teams were stood down by 10:55pm.

If this was you and you've lost a small rowing type vessel, please contact Falmouth Coastguard Operations Centre on 01326 317575 .
