The A39 road that connects Falmouth and Penryn to Truro will be closed for roadworks from 19:00 pm until 06:00 am each day this week.

The work is expected to finish on Friday the 11th of November but if extended work will only be carried out on weekdays.

Cornwall Council says the entire road needs to be shut to empty the gully and complete maintenance.

The work will be carried out from Treluswell to Arch Hill in Truro.

The Council says the footway will not be closed and emergency access will always be maintained.
