A local Falmouth pub has donated over £300 as a show of support for what took place in Lebanon recently.

On the 4th August a large blast in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, killed nearly 200 people at the city's port.

The Working Boat, based at Greenbank had some money leftover from collection pots and decided to donate the £318 to help the Lebanon Emergency Appeal.

Ryan Blake, Pub Manager told Nub News:

"What happened in Beirut is unimaginable, and we wanted to do our bit to try and help.

"We are passionate about doing our bit for charity at The Working Boat, and our amazing customers always give so generously at our pub quizzes and collection pots around the bar."

"When we heard the utterly devastating events that occurred in Lebanon earlier this month, the entire team agreed that some of our unallocated donations should 100% go to the Lebanon Emergency Appeal.

"Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with the people affected by this tragedy."
