Two of the team members from local charity Sea Sanctuary have been shortlisted as finalists in the National Children and Young People Awards.

Mollie McIlroy shortlisted for the support worker award and Emily Powell in the newcomer category.

The National Children & Young People Awards celebrate excellence in care for children, young people and families, showcase innovation and best practice in this area and pay tribute to those individuals or organisation who excel in quality care provision.

Nominated by the Sea Sanctuary Team, Kim Ibbotson, Responsible Individual for our Ofsted Registered Children's Home said:

"I am over the moon that two of our team have been shortlisted for the national Children and Young People Awards. Both Emily and Mollie are wonderful key workers, and advocates to the children in our care and the team they work with.

"All our team have worked incredibly hard especially in what has been unprecedented times during the pandemic."

Emily and Mollie will attend the Awards Ceremony in October 2020.
