The council has urged people to return to Household Waste and Recycling Centres next week following fears of long queues - this includes the Falmouth & Penryn site.

This week there have been lengthy queues at Helston, Bodmin, Saltash, Falmouth and St Erth.

Helston, Saltash and St Erth HWRCs were forced to close yesterday (10th) due to traffic tailbacks.

Cornwall Council advised on social media:

"There are long queues at Cornwall's Household Waste and Recycling Centres at the moment. Please come back next week instead."
