A Penryn arts and events space will be offering free food and company to those alone on Christmas Day.

The Fish Factory, based on Commercial Road, is inviting everyone on 25th December to Friendship Day.

Open from 12pm, there will be hot food and drinks available free of charge, company, music, and song.

The day is free to all, including those who need company, those who need a bite to eat in good company, those who want something to smile about, those who wish to play acoustic music.

A spokesperson for The Fish Factory added:

"This is where friendships begin. Stay all day, drink as many cups of tea/coffee as you like, read a book, listen to some music.

"If you wanted to bring any food that would be very welcome too. (vegetarian please). For extra information please contact Rob Burns: 07717 097157."
