Parklive online rocks Falmouth with more virtual performances planned
Popular music event Parklive went virtual on Sunday and Source FM's Chiara Muzzi was delighted with how smoothly the event ran.
Performances were streamed onto the Parklive YouTube channel.
The show featured 3 Daft Monkeys; Sam Bradbury; Charlie Wingfield; Chris Hutchins; Danio; James Dixon; Val Baker; Charlie Louise; Minti Hindu; Helm DeVegas and Mog Jones.
Chiara Muzzi, Station Development Manager at Source FM, told Nub News:
"About 665 people watched throughout the day which was good, it ran from about 12 till 6 and we had artists from Falmouth and outside of Falmouth, so it was a variety of acts and all different styles as well."
A fundraiser page ran alongside the event where people could donate to The Women's Centre Cornwall via the GoFundMe page Parklive Stands Against Violence which has now raised £335.

Chiara added:
"The good thing is that all the acts at Parklive had different styles, all of it was live and only one had to be pre-recorded because of issues with the sound system.
"You had the technical team surrounded by screens so they could queue which person can go in, obviously we had a few glitches but we are going to do the next one at the end of May."
Chiara said plans for the next Parklive events are in the works and one could be an all-women show.
