Man in critical condition following serious collision in Penryn

A pedestrian is in a critical condition in hospital with "serious life-threatening injuries" after a collision in Penryn.

Just after midnight on Sunday (12th) police were called to a road traffic collision on the B3292 at Lower Treluswell.

The collision involved a silver Peugeot 206 and a male pedestrian.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"The pedestrian was taken from the scene to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries, where his condition remains critical.

"Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall's Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer.

"The driver of the vehicle is helping Police with their enquiries.

"A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the exact cause of this collision."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision and anyone who may have dashcam footage are asked to telephone 101 quoting Log 27 12/04/2020.
