Man charged after robbery attempt at Falmouth McDonald's

A man has been charged after an incident at the weekend that temporarily shut Falmouth McDonald's.

On Saturday (23rd), police tape and cones could be seen across the entrance of the Falmouth branch with police confirming it was due to a robbery attempt.

The restaurant and the drive-thru were closed in the morning but eventually reopened.

Cy Prowse of Truro has been charged and is due to appear in court.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police told Nub News:

"Police have charged a man following reports of an incident at McDonalds, Dracaena Avenue on Saturday 23rd October.

"30-year-old Cy Prowse, of Tresawya Drive, Truro, has been charged with attempted robbery. He is due to appear at Bodmin Magistrates Court today [25th October]."
