Local garages warned of fraudulent activity

Garages in Falmouth and Penryn have been put on alert following reports of potential fraudulent activity.

Devon and Cornwall Police issued an appeal after a recent incident.

Revealing further details, a spokesperson for the police said:

"A telephone order was put through for high-value tyres and later collected, the payment was declined due to suspected fraudulent activity.

"Please be wary of this, please inform other garages if possible. If you have suspects in the area please phone 999."
