1. Mother and daughter from Falmouth first to receive coronavirus vaccine in Cornwall

The first vaccine was delivered to Donna MacKinnon, 47, head of care at Roscarrack House Care Home in Falmouth, and her daughter Erin Lilly, 18, who is also working as a carer within the home.

2. Funding secured to boost cycling and walking improvements in Falmouth

There are set to be changes to Falmouth's local road network, along with Penzance and Truro to help improve the health of communities and combat climate change.

Following a successful bid to the Department for Transport Active Travel Fund, Cornwall Council has been given £607,000 to improve cycling and walking routes in locations where the local communities have helped develop plans to bring about change.

3. University praised for "impressive operation" as hundreds of students are tested for coronavirus ahead of Christmas break

Hundreds of students at Falmouth University and the University of Exeter have been tested for coronavirus on campus before they travel home for Christmas.

4. Local surgeries announce coronavirus vaccination programme will start within weeks

The Falmouth Health Centre Practice and Penryn Surgery have announced today they will be starting the coronavirus vaccination programme for patients over 80 years old within the next two weeks.

Boslowick's newest shop The Crafty Bean is open for business after the coronavirus epidemic delayed the opening way back in March.
