Hooked on the Rocks, based in Swanpool, recently opened a brand new bar in a horsebox and has told Nub News of its indoor reopening plans.
The idea behind The Seahorse Bar & Bubbles was to have a more relaxed drinking and eating space.
This sister venture runs alongside the restaurant and allows customers to turn up and enjoy coffee, cocktails and champagne overlooking Swanpool Beach.
"This has been weather dependent after the storms hit us hard after the first few days of us being open but the rule is if the sun is shining, we are open," Emma Bastian General Manager told Nub News.
Emma also urged people to reserve a table for the restaurant ahead of reopening on May 17th. However, The Seahorse Bar is more flexible, and no bookings are taken.
What safety measures have been put in place ahead of reopening? Emma continued:
"We are now inside ready, whilst closed we have installed an individual over table extract system to aid the recirculation & removing of air from the restaurant.
"This is alongside all of our other deep cleaning and safety measures in place, we really just wanted customers to feel as relaxed as possible about using our inside space."
The Seahorse Bar serves food from 12pm till 2:30pm and 5pm till 8pm. Open from 10am for coffee and pastries.
The restaurant is open all day from 10am with food being served 12-2:30 and 5 - 9:30pm.
