In this weeks rewind feature, you can get an insight into what Falmouth Docks looked like in the 1960s.

Put together by video editor and creator capspread on Youtube you can see a ship launch and Falmouth Docks from the 1960s, it also shows people getting on a boat at Custom House Quay.

The clips were originally from Standard 8mm Cine Film and digitally converted using a Winait Film Scanner.

Capspread adds:

"The 1st Clip is a ship launch somewhere in the UK.

"The 2nd Clip is taken at Falmouth Docks - and two ships in Drydock - a BP Tanker and a Port Line Cargo Ship. The tug boat which is moving could be either the St Agnes and St Merryn from the Falmouth Towage fleet."

There are several other ships in the port - do you recognise them?

Reminiscing from the video, one of the comments read:

"Nice shots of Falmouth. Anchored out there 1972 loading ammunition from a coaster to our ship to take to Point Wilson, Australia for the Australian Army."
