Falmouth police dished out a heavy fine to coronavirus rule breakers yesterday.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Falmouth Police issued a heavy fine to covid rulebreakers.

The fine was dished out after it was found that 7 people had rented a house for a party.

Chief Inspector Ian Thompson revealed the details on social media yesterday (17th) saying it was "totally unacceptable."

He continued:

"Falmouth police today issued £1400 of fines to 7 people who chose to travel to Cornwall, rent a house and have a celebration.

"Devon and Cornwall Police will continue to enforce the COVID regulations to keep our communities safe."

Mr Thompson also said the landlord and letting agent is being "looked into" and that appropriate enforcement would follow.
