The Falmouth Barclays branch, based on Killigrew Street has announced a temporary closure due to health and safety reasons.

Customers were left confused as the bank closed without any prior notice.

Walking past the bank to take a look, an employee said:

"It is not safe to be in there at this time, we should be open later in the week."

Barclays have been contacted for a further comment.
