The Falmouth Town Council gardening team have announced the gardens at Princess Pavilion will be open again as of today.

Called a "great day for the people of Falmouth" - the news comes after months of speculation on who would take control of the site, eventually being taken up by Falmouth Town Council.

The news was revealed today by one of the council's gardening team saying:

"Today is a great day for the people of Falmouth as the Pavilion Gardens are now open for you all to enjoy. Please respect social distancing.

"Sadly the Toilets and cafe remain closed but this is a step in the right direction. Cheers from Falmouth Town Council gardening team Jack Aston and Tom Carthey."

Residents got very excited about the reopening with one saying:

"Very welcome news."

A second said:

"Proper job."

A third added:

"Went this morning. It's all looking neat and tidy. Thanks to the Town team."
