Falmouth is proud to host Cornwall's oldest flower show, it was first opened at Gyllyngdune Gardens in 1910 by Queen Victoria's daughter Princess Christian, and run by Falmouth's Chamber of Commerce until 1982 when a voluntary committee took over.
The committee retired in 2019 and then it was taken over by the council who didn't want to lose such a historic event.
