99p Films - Community Interest Cinema
Princess Pavilion
Cinema
16th Apr 2023 - 16th Apr 2023
UNTIL Sunday 16th April
99p Films provides Community Interest Cinema events in the South West, empowering audiences and bringing our communities together through the power of documentary film.
We make our screening experiences participatory in nature, by incorporating wellbeing, entertainment, discussion and communal feasts to create a holistic evening like no other.
Our next event - BREATH - WATCH - EAT - is focused around water and our local seas, with two docs on offer 'Down the drain' and 'KELP!' The evening begins with a wellbeing breathing exercise at the start, there will be intervals for talking points around sewage pollution and seaweed alternatives and the event will conclude with a feast offering a healthy vegan sustainably sourced meal and will include food relating to the documentaries shown (SEAWEED!)
Not only do we want our audiences to have a rewarding social experience but we achieve this all whilst supporting local film makers (through our unique licencing model of 99p per every ticket sold going to the filmmaker), sustainable food producers (by purchasing all our food for the feast through the FFC), along with an accolade of other stakeholders from supporting student film makers, charities, independent businesses and environmental and socially focused organisations.
All are welcome to join our collective of loving people who together can create a better community for us and our planet.
Tickets available on a pay what you can basis, £10-£15-£20 through Eventbrite - search 99p Films
We look forward to breathing, watching, conversing and eating with you all!
