Falmouth RFC carried on their impressive recent form with a third straight league victory on Saturday against Cullompton.

The 29-19 win against Cullompton has seen The Eagles climb up to 9th in the Tribute Western Counties West and further away from the relegation places.

Tries from Joe Martin, two from Tommy Job and Tony Whittle secured the win and the first home bonus point of 2020.

Falmouth started brightly from kick-off and won two early penalties in the Cullompton third. The wind proved too strong to convert the points.

The Eagles had the first points on the board soon after following a clever offload from Geach that put scrum-half, Sam Thomas, through the defence and left Cullompton on the back foot. The Eagles drove over, Joe Martin the scorer. Horton added points.

After 25 minutes it was 14-0, Tommy Job skipped through several defenders to run in under the posts. Horton added the extras.

Falmouth extended the lead to 17-0 just before half time, with another penalty.

Cullompton improved after the break a looked to be staging a comeback, picking up a loose ball in the 22 and crawling over the line.

However, tries from Tommy Job and Tony Whittle all but put the result beyond doubt.

Cullompton added more points late on but it was too late to catch The Eagles.

Next up for Falmouth RFC is an away trip to Wiveliscombe.

Elsewhere, the second-team won 5-36 away to Perranporth.
