Tomorrow would have been Town's final game before Christmas but Buckland Athletic has announced that the game can no longer go ahead due to a frozen pitch.

Buckland Athletic posted the news on social media earlier today, they shared this message: "Following an inspection, this afternoon and video evidence being provided to tomorrow's match referee, our @TSWesternLeague fixture versus @Falmouth_Town has been postponed due to a frozen pitch."

A number of clubs across the South West have had pitches inspected early to ensure the safety of all the players following the Western League's winter protocol. Buckland Athletic said they also considered the journey required from Falmouth when making the decision to postpone the match.

A date is yet to be announced for when the match will be played but Town can now look forward to their boxing day clash away to Saltash United, although it will be a tough challenge for Falmouth as Saltash currently sits top of the table.
