A square of grass at the edge of a car park, a space in the middle of a housing estate and a neglected recreation area are being transformed into a blaze of colours and havens for wildlife, thanks to investment and a special team led by Cornwall Council.

Communities are benefitting from 30 previously unremarkable town spaces in Camborne, Redruth, Hayle, Penzance, Pool, Bude and Saltash, which have all been made-over by a Council–led  project called making space for nature.

A39 Perranwell, Nr Falmouth at 08/10/2018 09:32

Two fire appliances from Falmouth and one from Truro attended a call to a double decker Bus on fire between the Treluswell Roundabout and Perranarworthal on the A39. The bus was well alight on crews arrival, fire crews used three hose reels with four breathing apparatus to tackle the fire. Highways were requested to attend due to damage to the road surface and the Environment agency were informed of the incident. There are no more details available on this incident.
