King Charles Court care home, Falmouth has been selected in a pilot scheme for family members to get regular testing for safer visits.
Announced today, family members or friends of those living in care homes will be given regular testing to reunite them with their loved ones in care homes as a new pilot launches on Monday (16th November).
The Salvation Army in Falmouth has launched its annual Christmas Toy Appeal to ensure every child within a family in need in the local area receives a present on Christmas Day.
The Salvation Army, with their church and community centre based on Brook Street, introduced the toy appeal in 2017 donating new toys to drop off points in the town, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it will be different this year.

Cherilyn Mackrory, Member of Parliament for Truro and Falmouth, has welcomed the news that the Government has provided another £607,000 to support walking and cycling in Cornwall.
The funding is being made available under tranche two of the Government's £175 million Active Travel Fund.

A wooden garden ornament has been returned today as the community rallied behind a Mabe resident to help locate it.
The hand-carved wooden Heron went missing last week and Denise Davey issued an appeal in a Mabe community group reading:

The Falmouth Coastguard were tasked this evening to reports of swimmers missing at Swanpool Beach.
Earlier this evening at around 17:30 the Coastguard were notified after swimmers hadn't been coming out of the sea at Swanpool.
