Today Falmouth held a two-minute silence to mark Armistice Day, and LGBT+ heroes were recognised at the memorial.

Laying a wreath was John Percy, who was an officer and served part of his life in the Royal Navy but got discharged because he was gay.
"Now people can proudly say they are part of the Royal Navy or in the military and hold their heads up high," John told Nub News.
John Percy is pushing for a change of attitudes around LGBT+ soldiers at Remembrance Day commemorations but said he is proud he got to lay a wreath today.
John continued:
"It is a big achievement and I do strongly feel that because we have got LGBT soldiers all over the world in the British Military and the Navy that don't get recognised because of their LGBT status.
"They are soldiers doing their duty for this country and they should be recognised whether they are currently serving or veterans.
"I would like to see every remembrance event having a member of the LGBT community putting a wreath down, it needs to be recognised by The British Legion."
