Woman sexually assaulted in Falmouth car park

Police have launched an investigation following an attack on a young woman in Falmouth.

The incident was reported to have happened between 1am and 1:25am on Sunday 5th December on Church Street opposite Club International.

The female victim in her 20s was approached by an unknown male and subjected to a serious sexual assault in the car park at the rear of Ship to Shore Tattoo.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"The victim is being supported by family members and specially trained police officers. Officers would like to hear from anyone who has any information or CCTV footage in this area to come forward to help with their enquiries."
