A track from Will Keating's latest EP "Gyllyngdune" has been featured on the BBC Introducing South West Radio Show covering Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.

The BBC Radio show hosted by Sarah Gosling featured the track "Helford River" and Sarah described Wills vocals as "primal" and "brilliant."

Will released the EP on December 30th taking two John Harris poems, Gyllyngdune and Helford River and turning them into songs.

The EP was to celebrate the story of John Harris in his bicentennial year (two-hundredth anniversary).

Will told Nub News:

"It is a great start to 2021 to have my first airplay on a radio show that covers the whole of the South West.

"Helford River was a poem written by Cornish Miner/Poet John Harris who was born in 1820. It was a true privilege for me to be able to turn his amazing words into a song and record it at Treslothan Church, Troon, which is where he chose to be buried."

Will has plans to record his second album this year and is planning to crowdfund soon to enable the recording and production costs.

Will added:

"2020 was a challenging year for musicians financially and it looks like 2021 will continue in a similar vein.

"I am keen, however, to release the "difficult" second album as my last release was in 2017 and I have the material ready.

"Crowdfunding is the only way I could get it done as it enables my fans and supporters to purchase the album in advance, therefore paying for the production costs."
