As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly round-up of what's on in Falmouth each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

And don't forget, if your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Falmouth Nub News.

Simply follow this link to our What's On section and click the black 'Nub It' button to get started.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

[H3] 4. Paddy Steer at The Cornish Bank [.H2]

Paddy Steer is a Zelig-like character along the timeline of Manchester's musical activity. It's a testament to his musicality that he has played with such a wide range of music and artists over the years, be it as a bass player, drummer, Hawaiian guitarist etc, or all these roles at the same time.

[H3] 5. The Devils Hatband [.H2]

These seven ageing bar flies draw their influence from 1920s American hillbilly country culture, presenting soaring harmonies and an eclectic mix of working class protest songs with uplifting vaudeville, gospel, ragtime and show tunes.

Expect a full range of percussion and strings (banjo, ukulele, geeetar, violin, tea-chest bass) and humour. Lots of humour.

You can advertise your event for FREE by clicking the black Nub It button.
