The Cornwall Wildlife Trust has issued a warning after "numerous reports" of Portuguese Man O' War across Cornwall - with two sightings in Falmouth today.
Shared by a resident in a Falmouth community page today reading, "two man o'war on Gylly Beach and sightings around Maenporth this morning, please be careful."
A spokesperson for Cornwall Wildlife Trust commented:
"There have been numerous reports of Portuguese Man O' War strandings across Cornwall recently, bought in by the strong winds and weather.
"If you do come across one, please make sure that you do not touch and only admire from a distance (as they can still sting after death if they are wet).
"It's important to ring our Marine Strandings Network team immediately on 0345 2012626, so that we can record this vital data and get a true representation of their numbers in Cornwall."
