A new comedy festival, The Falmouth Cringe will welcome a host of talented acts including Tim Key and Maisie Adam.

The Falmouth Cringe is due to get underway later this month welcoming comedians such as Tim Key, Maisie Adam, and Jayde Adams, among many others.

Working closely with six local, independent venues in Falmouth, the festival running from 30th June to 3rd July is bringing 25 comedy performances to the town to showcase talent from across the country and nurture and champion homegrown comedians.

The festival will give audiences in Cornwall the opportunity to enjoy high-quality comedy with a new fringe-style comedy festival to match others across the UK for the first time, with four headline gigs taking place during the weekend alongside a variety of new and exciting acts.

The organisers are looking for volunteers. All volunteers can expect unrestricted entry to all areas at the shows and a free festival t-shirt.

They added: "If you can spare a few hours to ensure the festival all runs smoothly, we would love to hear from you."

What's involved? They said: "Checking tickets, showing people to their seats, and generally being on hand to offer help over the course of the festival. Any amount of time you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We would like to meet all volunteers on Monday 27th June to run through any procedures and answer any questions."
