Falmouth Lifeboat Station is looking for new volunteers to join their 'visits team' and be a part of the vital work done by the charity.

The lifeboat has given a description of the role: "Volunteering as a member of the Lifeboat Visits Team and being part of the RNLI's Falmouth lifeboat station is an important role within the charity as we aim to save the lives of people of all age groups through our fantastic visits programme.

"For this role we are specifically looking for volunteers to assist with providing a warm welcome while guiding the inflow and outflow of visitors to the station and shop, safely managing footfall."

Here are some of the key roles you will have to carry out:

  • Giving inspiring guided tours of the lifeboat station to visitors including groups of young people and adults
  • Creating a welcoming and friendly environment within the station for visitors
  • Ensuring key RNLI messages are communicated to visitors
  • Supporting the RNLI's One Crew ethos
