Trescobeas Surgery has sought to reinforce the message of respect towards staff after some were "reduced to tears" this morning.

The message was shared on social media, the surgery said they are understaffed at the moment and reported verbal abuse from patients triggered a respect warning.

"Our receptionists are working very hard to provide you with the best service and a safe environment," a spokesperson for Trescobeas Surgery said.

They continued:

"Please appreciate that they are limited in what they can and cannot do and if they are unable to do something, it is not because they are being difficult.

"This morning patients have reduced reception team members to tears, the team are doing their best in difficult circumstances."
