The Working Boat hosting a series of events during Falmouth Week

Falmouth Week is fast approaching and a host of brilliant acts are scheduled including The Wurzels, Reef, Bad Manners, and Craig Charles.

The events get underway on Friday 5th August, continuing until 14th August.

Falmouth Week is a major attraction for locals and visitors. With its origins as a local sailing regatta dating back at least as far as 1837, the week is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy an array of daytime and evening events in the town.

Falmouth pub The Working Boat is hosting a selection of free events to get people into the spirit of the festival.

August 5th Horses on the Beach: Bristol-based Horses on the Beach will be heading down to the Beer Tent stage for an evening of groovy tunes. This five-piece band emulates the sounds of funk, ska-punk, jazz and soul and is the perfect way to kick off the Falmouth Week celebrations, from 8pm until late.

August 12th Davey and Dyer then Falmouth Soul Sensations: Start the evening as you mean to go on with the classically Cornish sounds of Davey and Dyer. This popular duo are known for their Cornish Celtic sounds. Renowned Cornish band Falmouth Soul Sensation will then be bringing the tunes to The Working Boat's quay with their funky beats, from 8pm until late. August 13th Jonah's Lift: Get ready to dance the night away in our Beer Tent to the sounds of eclectic tunes and energetic beats from renowned Cornish folk band Jonah's Lift. From 8pm until late. Find out more about this event here
