This week Falmouth's businesses were allowed to reopen following the end of the second lockdown.

Cornwall was only one of only three areas in the country to be placed in Tier One, as announced recently by Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

Yesterday afternoon we did a live walkthrough of the town and speaking to lots of businesses upon reopening.

One business that has reopened this month is The Greenbank Hotel, they spoke to us about how it feels to be back into the swing of things.

Speaking on The Greenbank and The Alverton, Ben Young, Managing Director of the Cornwall Hotel Collection told Nub News:

"We feel extremely relieved to be reopening the hotels again after the 2nd national lockdown.

"We have all working processes sorted to ensure complete Covid security coupled with our usual high standards of hospitality.

"We feel grateful to have a loyal local following to support the businesses over the winter. In a time of ongoing uncertainty, I hope we will provide some relief for our locals and a port in a storm for all who visit us."
