The Falmouth TUI branch is closing down on Thursday, 24th October, leaving Truro's branch as the closest store for residents.
This comes as another punch to the high street, after the news that Argos will also be closing its doors this year.
As well as the significant loss of Marks and Spencers in 2018.
A spokesperson for TUI told Nub News Falmouth:
"We would like to thank our retail colleagues for all their hard work.
"We're always looking for opportunities to become more effective and efficient.
"This is a continual process to ensure we're evolving our business and ensure our stores are in the right places and we'll continue to open, close and relocate stores".
A post on a community Facebook page by a local resident, Mark Peters, led to concerned members of the public voicing their sadness for the closure.
Keith Eddy stated:
"I'm afraid this says it all about the High St generally. Sad but hopefully the space will be let quickly and at a sensible rent?"
Dawn Mccoll, said:
"So sad. Another empty shop. The staff in Tui are so helpful and match the price on the web so it's a shame they are closing. I will certainly miss them".
