The Easy Peelers are playing three more sets at The Chintz Symposium
The Chintz Symposium played host to The Easy Peelers on Thursday night; an up and coming Falmouth based jazz band.
This was the first in what will be a series of Thursday evening sessions at the bar.
The nine piece group formed a couple of months ago and have brought together talented musicians from other local outfits such as Cherry Garcia & the Roustabouts Collective.
They perform a range of originals, covers and improvised instrumentals.
A typical contemporary band line up with a little slice of brass and strings for added flavour.
If your taste is jazz or blues then look no further than the Chintz Symposium where The Easy Peelers will be for the next four Thursday nights.
In what is already a relatively cosy venue, the jazz ensemble entertained a full house and at times seemed like they themselves were a part of the audience; building on the relaxed, free spirited atmosphere in the Chintz Symposium.
After the set, violinist Fabiane St Claire spoke to Nub News:
"There is a strong bond between the musicians in Falmouth and it allows for projects like this to develop so quickly.
"It's a crowd where everyone communicates with each other and that's important to building a music scene".
With the first gig under their belt, The Easy Peelers are a band to keep an eye out for.
Musically tight and with an ever growing fan base; they are another exciting new contribution to the local music scene.
Falmouth has such musical diversity for a small town and it's always easy to find a venue that caters to your taste.
