The Cornish Barista, a popular mobile barista company, has set up a permanent home near Penryn.

The iconic company now has a cafe on top of the granite quarries in Halvasso, on the outskirts of Penryn.

The new establishment serves handmade cakes, coffees and lunches with a view of the Falmouth coast line and clay mounds of St Austell.

Ashley Jones from the Cornish Barista said: "The site has previously been closed to the public but with our opening, much of the site has been opened up for exploring and dog walking too.

"More Nature trails being opened up all the time so there's plenty to explore and also a great new adventure for wildlife spotting! equally great for young people and adults alike.

"All I can say is it really is one of those places you just have to visit to truly appreciate."
