The exhibition of this years streetdraw24 premiered at The Poly on Monday night.

Created last year by Helen Trevaskis, a BA illustration student at Falmouth University, streetdraw24 is an art initiative where artists take to the streets for twenty-four hours and use the work created to do something good.

St Petroc's was the chosen charity for this event with all the proceeds from the exhibition going to their services.

St Petroc's, based in Truro, is an outreach service that aims to engage with rough sleepers around Cornwall.

The event featured work from forty artists who took part in the initiative - displaying drawings of various noticeable locations and people around the area.

Nub News Falmouth spoke with creator, Helen Trevaskis, she said:

"I have always been interested in how art can make a positive change socially.

"Before I came to University, I worked in behaviour change and public health in developing countries.

"My job in the last twelve to fourteen years has always been about changing things for the better, so I've been interested in how my degree can do something along those lines".

The exhibition runs until Saturday - opening times 10am to 5pm.
