STORM JORGE to hit Falmouth as three day weather warning issued

The Met Office has issued Falmouth a three-day yellow weather warning over the weekend, as newly named Storm Jorge is due to hit tomorrow.

Heavy rain is forecasted to start in the early hours of Friday morning and carry on through to midday, letting up until it begins again in the evening.

The Met Office has said to be cautious of flooding and transport disruption throughout the weekend.

It is very possible that train and bus routes will be affected and motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution.

Sunday has been issued a yellow weather warning regarding high winds, Falmouth is forecasted to endure gusts of over 40mph.

It is advised to stay away from the coastline as this is where the winds will be the strongest.
