Flushing residents have spoken to Nub News on their reported sightings of a mass group party around the corner from Flushing Beach.
Witness accounts report beachgoers coming and going by boat.
Natasha Chapman, a Flushing resident, told Nub News:
"Nothing has changed. There was an enormous group.
"We went past in the boat at around 5pm and the group was about 25 strong with more people arriving by boat as we went past."
The village has been battling to keep clean against litter, with a resident sharing photos today of more mass rubbish left on the beach.
Residents have also been having issues with social distancing and many are claiming that visitors are not respecting the rules.
One resident told Nub News:
"Shocking we have had loads of cars parked on double yellows the last few days and people driving like idiots through the village.
"It's awful here and wish they could close it off or at least get a better police presence here."
Another resident described their experience visiting the beach last night, they said:
"We walked up to the beach yesterday evening and it was mayhem.
"There were 75 cars parked between the Sailing Club and the beach, including 12 on double yellow lines. We just turned round and came home."
