Engineered Arts are the leading designer and manufacturer of humanoid entertainment robots in the UK and on Christmas day their robot Ameca delivered an alternative Christmas message on Channel 4.

The company based in Falmouth on Bickland Water Road describes Ameca as the world's most advanced human-shaped robot, on the website they say: "Designed specifically as a platform for development into future robotics technologies, Ameca is the perfect humanoid robot platform for human-robot interaction."

Ameca is asked a number of questions about the good and bad parts of the year aswell as their thoughts on human beings, you can find Ameca's thoughts on all of us here: Alternative Christmas Message.

Channel 4's Chief Content Officer, Ian Katz, comments: "As we look to a future in which Artificial Intelligence is set to have an increasingly prominent role in our lives, Ameca's Alternative Christmas Message is a vivid illustration of both the power and limitations of this technology. Despite Ameca's remarkably lifelike facial expressions, I suspect most viewers will come away reassured that humans are not about to be displaced by AI robots any time soon."

The Alternative Christmas message from Channel 4 started back in 1993 as an alternative to the King or Queen's annual Christmas speech and has used a wide range of different presenters from the President of Iran to Danny Dyer.
