Stage goes up on The Moor.

Preparations are well underway as the Falmouth community looks forward to its Christmas lights switch on.

It is scheduled for 7pm this evening (25th). The stage was being worked on this morning that Pirate FM will be hosting from.

It is set to be a really special evening, more so because of last year's events being virtual due to covid, with the festivities coming back in full force.

The evening kicks off at Events Square with school children, various other groups and Santa gathering before parading through the town and to The Moor.

The lights will be switched on at 7 by community champions Andrea Fifield and Pete Marland.

Full timings:

17:00 – children and singing groups start to gather on Events Square.

17:40 – the parade leaves Events Square and heads through town towards The Moor.

18:15 – school groups each sing a Christmas song or carol.

19:00 – the big Christmas lights switch-on by Falmouth's voted for community champion for the year.

As usual we will going live from the event so if you can't make it tune into our Facebook page just before 7!
