Large power outage affects Falmouth and Penryn properties

Yesterday evening at around 7PM, an estimated 1033 properties within the TR11 and TR10 area were suddenly left without power.

The issue was brought up in the Falmouth and Penryn Community Information Page with residents reporting faults in Tregenver Road, Longfield, Conway Road, Pennance Road, Langton Road and Berkeley Vale.

Western Power Distribution confirmed a transformer box had caught fire, the power was restored just after 9PM.
