In an update, Western Power confirmed electricity is back in Penryn but the homes in Falmouth are still without power.

There have been power cuts in Falmouth and Penryn this afternoon.

Western Power Distribution confirmed that 39 properties in Falmouth and 73 properties in Penryn are without power.

Western Power Distribution said:

"We are aware of this power cut incident which was raised this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you."

Residents and businesses have been reporting to be without power this afternoon, Penryn Plastics said:

"Unfortunately we have had a power cut. We are expecting to be back up and running around 3pm."
