A building filled with local craftspeople, finders, movers and shakers providing an eclectic trove of Christmas treasures - yesterday signalled the opening of a pop-up market in Falmouth.

Based on 34 Church Street, the site has been turned around as a Christmas market where The Cornish Bank Cafe And Restaurant is set to be.

The market is a collaboration with Mud, New Dawn Traders and The Cornish Bank, Mud was formed by Holly and Rosa, two friends with a passion for pots and vintage treasures and celebrating independent businesses.

Also being involved in the event is Morgana Burke, Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees, Smugglers Record Shop and The Old Tractor Shed.

The market will be open 11th December to the 23rd December 10am till 4pm.

You might remember the news that the building on Church Street is set to be taken over as The Cornish Bank Cafe And Restaurant.

Will and Rufus are the taking over the premises and Nub News caught up with Will at the market to discuss the market and the plans for The Cornish Bank, he said:

"The whole idea of the project started with a market we didn't plan to have a cafe, my partner runs New Dawn Traders and my friend runs Mud.

"They were looking for a pop-up place to do a Christmas market and this place came up. It has just been a bit of a dream of mine and Rufus, it led on from the market to take this property on as a long term thing.

"It is a collaboration between Mud, New Dawn Traders and us, all of the makers and everything is made in Cornwall.

"The cafe wasn't planned, it is something we wanted to do and it is one of those things that if you go looking for it, it is hard to find the right thing. The opportunity came up and we just went for it."
