Earlier today we shared that the Police were appealing for information after a young Cornishman had gone missing in the early hours on Sunday the 11th of June.

The man was believed to have been involved in a serious collision and officers are concerned that he may have sustained a serious injury and could require medical treatment.

Devon and Cornwall Police has now provided an update: "Police searching for 21-year-old Jack Thomas, who was reported missing from the Cornwall area on Sunday 11 June, have found the body of a man.

"The body was located in the Chacewater area at around 12.55 pm on Monday 12 June.

"Formal identification is yet to take place. The family of Mr Thomas has been informed of this development.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
