Police in late night search at Swanpool after woman goes missing

Police and coastguard teams worked to locate a missing woman over the weekend.

Police were called at 3.45am on Saturday (15th) after a woman was reported missing from premises in Truro.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"Officers conducted area searches and enquires to locate her.

"Police were called at 11.20pm on Saturday after the woman was located unwell near the water at Swanpool Beach, Falmouth, by HM Coastguard.

"The woman, in her 20s and from the Newquay area, was treated by ambulance and taken to Treliske Hospital."

The Falmouth Coastguard team added:

"On the scene, team members found a female at the water's edge. We administered basic first aid."
