Boslowick Garage Falmouth was subject to a lengthy vandalism spree just before New Year.

Police are set to collect CCTV in an attempt to catch a mob of teenagers who recently targeted Boslowick Garage in a vandalism tirade.

The owners of the local garage revealed on social media this week they had been subject to a vandalism spree at the hands of a marauding mob.

They were caught on CCTV around 8:20pm on Thursday 30th December destroying equipment, running over sale cars, and trying to spill petrol from hoses whilst smoking.

Owner Jackie Spiers lives above the garage and told Nub News she could see the group trying to do as much damage as they could.

She said:

"They were attempting to wreck the place. They got hold of a hoover hose and they pulled it so far that the machine twisted and the door popped open at the side. It was quite a long series of events. I eventually turned the jet washers off via the switch we have indoors which stopped them from using those on each other.

"I saw them on the forecourt trying to spill fuel out of the nozzles. They were smoking at the same time. It was about 20-25 minutes of really anti-social behaviour."

Jackie explained they had problems with kids causing trouble before but never to this scale.

The police are due to visit the garage in the coming days to collect CCTV footage of the incident.

Jackie added:

"I wasn't scared or anything. You just have to deal with something like this. We have cameras everywhere and CCTV inside I can watch from every angle.

"I went outside and told them to clear off but they got uppity. They were just out to cause trouble. In fact, a lot of people who commented on our post said they have had similar problems."
