Police and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team called to Flushing

Police were notified in the early hours yesterday morning (Sunday 8 January) to reports of a suspicious package on Trefusis Road in Flushing, Falmouth.

The Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) team was contacted to investigate the package and deemed that there was no risk to the public. The team believes the item to have been a 'hoax device'.

The Police say they would like to thank members of the public for their patience and support while this incident was dealt with.

Detectives are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident and ask anyone who has any information about the incident to contact them via 101 quoting reference number 50230005520.
