Falmouth and Penryn residents have been warned after reports of scammers in the area.

An appeal was issued by police after reports of an elderly woman becoming a victim of a scam.

A spokesperson for Falmouth and Helston Police said:

"Reports of an elderly female being scammed out of £400 by a group of males posing as gardeners.

"Please be vigilant to rogue traders in the Falmouth area."

Residents responded with possible sightings of the vehicle they were using, reporting they had been in the Penryn area yesterday.
